This is a journey measured in long lunches and longer evenings, where nothing is rushed and everything is felt.
There is a particular quality to the light here, the kind that painters spent their lives trying to keep. It falls warm and unhurried across stone and vine, softening the edges of the day until you forget what hour it is. The South of France does not ask you to perform. It asks you to slow down, to taste carefully, to notice the way the air changes as you climb from the plateau toward the sea.
Over seven days we move gently from the lavender country of the Luberon to the blue coast of the Cote d'Azur. Each morning has room in it. Each evening is allowed to end on its own time. The pace is deliberate, the company small, and the moments chosen for the way they stay with you long after you have flown home.

The journey
Settling into the Luberon
You arrive into Provence and let the days find their rhythm at Airelles Gordes, La Bastide, a restored estate beneath the village of Gordes where the terraces look out over the valley and the cicadas keep time. The first day asks nothing of you but a long lunch and a walk through the gardens. On the second, a private guide takes you through the ochre lanes and the markets, where you choose tapenade and warm bread and eat them in the shade.
Lavender at Valensole, truffles in the oaks
We rise early for the plateau of Valensole, where the lavender runs to the horizon in clean violet rows and the air is heavy and sweet. Later, in a quiet wood, a grower and his dog lead a private truffle hunt, the earth giving up its dark, fragrant secret. Lunch is built around what is found.
The turquoise of the Verdon
The Gorges du Verdon is the wild heart of this journey, a canyon of pale cliffs and water the colour of sea glass. You can stand at the edge and simply look, or take to the turquoise below by kayak, the rock walls rising on either side. It is the gently adventurous day, balanced afterward by stillness and a long, slow dinner back among the vines.

Rose among the vines, scent in Grasse
A private tasting at a family domaine introduces you to the pale, mineral roses of Provence, poured beside the rows where the grapes grew. In the afternoon we move toward the coast and into Grasse, where a perfumer guides you through a private atelier and you compose a scent that is yours alone, a small bottle of this week to take with you.
Hilltop villages and the sea
From your base at the legendary Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the pines of Cap d'Antibes, the day belongs to the hill villages. Eze clings to its rock above the Mediterranean, its stepped lanes opening suddenly onto blue. Saint-Paul-de-Vence holds galleries and quiet squares where the light pools at midday. You wander without a schedule and return to the sea by evening.

A private day on the water off Cap Ferrat
The journey closes the way it should, on the water. A private yacht carries you along the coast of Cap Ferrat, past pine-shaded villas and quiet coves, with time to swim where the sea is deepest blue. Lunch is served on deck and the afternoon belongs entirely to you. You come back to shore unhurried, already remembering it.
